HOW TO PREVENT A VEHICLE FROM OVERHEATED?
Park your vehicle under shade.
Use car window shades.
Tint your windows (approved by JPD Brunei)
Leave car windows slightly open.
Turn the floor air vents on.
Add engine coolant.
Get your radiator flushed by a mechanic.
Always check your car tenders tire gauge.
WHY VEHICLE GETS OVERHEATED?
Driving with low level of coolant or antifreeze or no coolant at all.
Leaking cooling system.
Broken water pump.
Radiator problem.
Thermostat failure.
Faulty belts and hoses.
Low oil levels.
WHAT TO DO WHEN VEHICLE GETS OVERHEATED?
Turn off the air-conditioner immediately.
Find a safe place to pull over and shut down the car engine.
Check and add coolant (if you have it)
Restart the engine.
HOW TO CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL?
Park the car on levelled ground for most accurate reading
Open the hood of the car and pull out the dipstick
Wipe it down with a towel and then put it back into the engine (ensure it goes all the way in).
Pull the dipstick back out and be sure not to turn the stick upside down to read as the oil will run and will show inaccurate reading.
SIGNS OF A FAULTY STARTER
Engine won't turn over
Noise - clicking, grinding, or whirring
Intermittent issues starting the vehicle
Starter stays ON after starting
Smoke coming from underneath engine
Starter engages but the motor won't start
Weak Battery
WHAT ARE THE CAUSES OF FAULTY STARTER?
It can happen due to:
Electrical connections faulty
Solenoid switch (engaging relay) stiff or faulty
Electric motor damaged electrically
Single-pinion gear, starter pinion or freewheel damaged
